Description
John Malherbe, lord of Morham, has given and granted and by this his present charter established to Newbattle Abbey all that meadow which is in the western part of the monks’ sheepfold between his land of Morham (ELO) and the monks’ land of Bearford (ELO), in pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all service, exaction, custom and secular demand.
