Description
Ada [de Coleville], mother of John of Morham, with the assent and concession and good will of her lord and husband William de Coleville, has given and granted, and by this her present charter established to Newbattle Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms, that part of a meadow which ‘reached me by right of the third part’ [i.e., her terce] in the villa of Morham (ELO), in the meadow of ‘Qwyttewelstrothyr’, which her son John gave to the monks.
