Description
Thomas Maule, lord of ‘Louchogov’ has granted and by this his charter established to Newbattle Abbey all that land with common pasture in the holding of ‘Louchogov’ (PEB or MLO) by its right bounds, which Ralph Maule his grandfather, former lord of ‘Louchogov’, gave them in pure and perpetual alms, as in his charter and in the confirmation of Thomas of Galloway, earl of Atholl, for an annual render of 5s. on the Octaves of St Michael, for all service, exaction and secular demand.
