Description
Reginald, burgess of Dumbarton, has given, granted, and by this his present charter established to Newbattle Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms, a half toft which he holds in the villa of Dumbarton (DNB), which lies between the toft of Alan ‘Sithf’ and the toft of Alan the monk on the north side opposite the marketplace, in perpetuity, making service to the king which pertains to that croft.
