Description
John, son of Michael the clerk, has given, granted, and by this his present charter established to St Andrews Priory one half mark in pure and perpetual alms to light the church, for his fraternitas, from his brewery of Muircambus (FIF), on St Andrews Day.

John son of Michael witnessed a charter of Bishop William Malveisin of St Andrews, 1202×04 (_St And. Lib._, 106-7; 154-5) and an agreement between Duncan of Inchyra and John, prior of May (_St And. Lib._, 393; 1206×22). Michael son of Malothen (a.k.a. Michael Scot) witnessed charters from about 1205 to about 1235.
