Description
Robert ‘de Mayl’, nepos of Warin ‘de Mayl’, with the consent and assent of his heirs, has given, granted and by his charter established to the house of Coldstream, in pure and perpetual alms, all his land of Bassendean, that is, the land adjacent between the chapel and his house, and in addition, the land which is called Fala and the meadow next to the same land, free from all custom and exaction, saving the right of his lord, according to the tenor of his charter and the confirmation of Sir P[atrick], earl of Dunbar.
