Description
W[illiam] Bataille, burgess of Berwick, has given, granted and by this his present charter established to Coldstream Priory in pure and perpetual alms, an annual rent of 20s. from a certain land lying in ‘Uddinggate’ in the villa of Berwick between the land of Simon Flinc and the land of William the goldsmith, which he holds from Kelso Abbey, 10s. at Pentecost and 10s. at Martinmas.
