Description
William of Sanquhar, son and heir of Hugh the gatekeeper, gives notice that he agrees and wishes that by the boundaries of the lands of the abbot and convent of Paisley (in respect of the church of Sanquhar as well as of Dalmilling) on the one side, and his lands on the other side, recognised and declared by worthy men etc. on the Friday next after the feast of Saint Martin AD 1280, there should be ditches and crosses erected. He promises, under penalty of £10 to be paid to the fabric-fund of the church of Paisley, that there shall be no impediment by him or his men.
