Description: Walter son of Alan, steward of the King of Scotland, has granted, given, and made firm by this his present charter to Sixhills Priory in pure and free and perpetual alms, the rent of 3 marks from his rent that Adam of Ness and his heirs are bound to pay to him annually in return for the land that Henry Wallace once held, which he conferred to the same Adam and his heirs to be held of him and his heirs by his charter. He has assigned the aforesaid Adam and his heirs to pay to the said convent of Sixhills the said rent of 3 marks annually at two terms, that is, 20s. at Pentecost and 20s. at the feast of St Martin.
