Description
John of Saltoun and Agnes his spouse, daughter and heir of Thomas son of Spilman, for the soul of Thomas son of Spilman and others, have given, granted and by this their present charter established to Dryburgh Abbey and the mother church of St Michael of Saltoun and the canons of Dryburgh, rectors of the same church, five acres of land in the territory of Saltoun (ELO), by stated bounds, in free, pure and perpetual alms, for the upkeep of lighting of the altar of St Mary Magdalane.
