Description
Gilbert of Smeaton has given, granted, and by this his present charter established to William his brother all the land of ‘Witker’ (MLO?) with its right bounds, as Robert his father held it, in feu and heritage, for a half mark annually, 40d. at Pentecost and 40d. at Martinmas, for all secular service and exaction, saving the forinsec service of the lord king.
