Description
Margaret, wife of the late Michael Scot, with the consent of Donnchad her heir, has given and granted and by this her charter established to John her son, the two ‘Mutthelies’ (prob. Muckly, PER), and Caputh (PER) and the third part of Pitfirrane (FIF), with all its easements and liberties, free and quit from all service, exaction and demand, save the forinsec service of the lord king, according to the tenor of the charter of the lord king which he conferred of the said lands, except the land of Cardney (PER) which she gave for his homage and service to Sir Walter Comyn, earl of Menteith, as her charter to the said lord earl bears witness.
