Description
Walter son of Sibbald has granted and made firm by this his charter to Arbroath Abbey all that land which he gave in marriage to Philip de Maleville with his daughter, when they were married, as it was perambulated for Philip in front of Walter Scott, G. de Maleville, Duncan of Arbuthnott and Harvey of Pitskillie and many others, with common pasture of Mondynes (KCD) and of Kair (KCD), and with all other easements pertaining to that land, and with liberty to build and have a mill on that land if they want it, and that they may have their multure free and quit, and their men similarly, holding in free, quit, pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all army and expedition and other aids and gelds, and from all works and wards, and from all pleas and plaints, and all customs and services and secular exactions.
