Description
John of Strathbogie, earl of Atholl, has given, granted, and by his present charter established to Sir John of Inchmartine, knight, for his homage and service, all the land of Coille Bhrochain (PER), which was formerly Malcolm mac Cunyg’s, and which Malcolm mac Cunyg resigned by rod and staff in perpetuity to the infeftment of the said Sir John of Inchmartine; also all his land of ‘Dyserd Lytyl’ (Dysart, PER), and all his land of Borenich (PER) with the fortress which is called ‘Carryc’, and all his land of Bonskeid (PER), which was formerly William of Frendraught’s, and which the said William of Frendraught resigned to him by rod and staff to the infeftment of the said Sir John of Inchmartine; holding and having all the aforesaid lands in perpetuity with all liberties, pertinents and easements pertaining to them, saving to the earl the land of ‘Strugaryth’ (?Strathgarry, PER), which Kenneth mac Nakerd held of him; rendering annually at Pentecost one pair of white gloves and making the forinsec service as pertains to those lands, suits of his three head courts in Atholl per year, for all the aforesaid lands, for all secular service, action and demand.
