Description
An agreement is made between Sir John, prior of St Andrews, and the convent of the same place, and Sir Nicholas de la Haye, knight, lord of Errol, whereby the prior and convent gave to Nicholas the land of Pitpointie (ANG) with all its bounds etc. as free as it was (?) by Sir Hugh Giffard son of Sir John Giffard etc. for an annual render of 40s. of good sterlings on the two terminals, viz., 20s. on Pentecost and 20s. on Martinmas. If Nicholas or his heirs fail in this payment, they must give the prior and convent one half mark in the name of damages for the upkeep of the church of St Andrew.
