Description
Prior Thomas [Ringmer] and the chapter of Christ Church, Canterbury write to Abbot W[illiam] and the convent of Arbroath announcing the priory’s agreement to the royal charity and to the arrangement whereby the abbot and convent of Arbroath were to have 100s. ready at the New Temple in London every year within the octaves of the nativity of BVM to be paid to the chapter of Christ Church or their sure attorney; the priory being permitted to discontinue the charity if Arbroath failed to pay within a fortnight of the term fixed, until such time as full satisfaction had been made for the amount.
