Description
Ranulf de Soules has granted to Jedburgh Abbey ‘la Wambehope’ (in Canonbie ph., DMF) towards the west with all ‘cloiis’ (?) and all pertinents, by stated bounds, with the pasture that they have of him in Liddesdale, as the chirograph which they made between them attests, until the end nominated in the same writing, for which they gave him 10 marks in the first year, and they will be quit towards all men and from all other exaction.
