Robert of Keith, marischal of Scotland, states that since an agreement was existing between Ralph, master of the house of Soutra, and it brothers on the one hand, and him on the other, wherein the master and brothers were holding and having from Robert and his successors the whole tenement of 'Lower Johnston' (in Humbie parish, ELO) at feu-ferme, with the pertinents and freedoms, [and wherein] they were to render to Robert and his successors six marks annually [and that] finally, the master and brothers resigned the aforesaid tenement, with all rights and pertinents, into Robert’s hands by his consent, Robert wishes that all instruments relating to the agreements may thenceforth be considered null and void.
