Description
In the same year [1296], Indiction [9th], month of June, 22nd day, at St John of Perth, with the same venerable father and noble men as witnesses being present as last written above, and in the presence of the Notary written below, the lord Robert Cameron, lord of Baledgerno, knight, freely attaining the trust and good will of the king of England, annulled any alliances, contracts, agreements, or pacts ever entered into between John, king of Scots, and his own, on one side, and the king of the French, Philip, and his own, on the other side, against the king of England and his own, and expressly renounced them; and having touched and kissed the most holy gospels, he performed fealty to the said king of England, and in respect of his fealty, he drew up his letters sealed with the impression of his authentic pendant seal.
