Description
On the same day [22nd June 1296], in the same place [Perth], with the witnesses written immediately above being present, and the undersigned Notary, the lord John de la Haye, knight, freely attaining the trust and good will of the king of England, annulled any alliances, contracts, agreements, or pacts ever entered into in his name with the king of the French against the king of England, and absolutely renounced them; and having touched and kissed the most holy gospels, he performed fealty to the said king of England, and in respect of his fealty, he drew up his letters sealed with his authentic pendant seal.
