Description
In the year [1296] and indiction [9] recorded before, on the sixth day of the month of July, at the same place [Forfar], Hugh of Moray attaining the faith and goodwill of the lord king of England, of his own accord, annulled any alliances with the king of the French ever entered into in his name against the lord king of England; and having taken hold of and kissed the holy gospels, he performed fealty to the lord king of England, drawing up his letters patent upon his fealty so performed, sealed with his pendant seal.
