Document 3/15/115 (Kel. Lib., no. 307)

Description
Patrick of Dunbar, earl of March, states that Patrick Corbet, lord of Fogo, formerly supplicated Patrick of Dunbar, by his letters patent, stating that he wanted Patrick of Dunbar to induce and establish the abbot and convent of Kelso into corporal possession of the chapel of Fogo (BWK), and the charter states that Kelso Abbey was the institution to whom Patrick Corbet had granted and donated the chapel and mill of Fogo with the lands and everything at the chapel in pure and perpetual alms. Because Patrick Corbet’s supplication was favourably inclined for the salvation of Patrick of Dunbar’s soul and all of his ancestors and successors, Patrick of Dunbar gave and decided to grant sasine of the chapel and of the other things at it, in the name of Patrick Corbet, to the abbot and convent following the form of the letters patent [given] to Patrick of Dunbar by Patrick Corbet.
