Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given, granted and by this present charter established to the brothers of Inverness (the Blackfriars of Inverness), in endowment of their church, ten pounds of sterling to be received annually by the hands of the king’s grieves, whomever they may be at the time, from the ferme of the burgh of Inverness (INV), in free, pure and perpetual alms, at two times of the year, viz. half at the feast of Saint Martin in winter, and the other half at the feast of Pentecost.
