Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given, granted and by this his present charter established to the brothers of Elgin (the Blackfriars of Inverness) in endowment of their church, ten marks of sterling annually, to be received by the hands of the sheriff of Banff, whomever he may be at the time, from the thanage of Aberchirder (BAN), in free, pure and perpetual alms, at two times of the year, viz. half at the feast of Saint Martin in winter, and the other half at the feast of Pentecost.
