J[ohn], king of Scotland writes to the archbishop of York noting that in the case called before the archbishop between John and Master Thomas of Kirkcudbright, elect of Whithorn, he has ceased to pursue [the matter] at the request of noble magnates and requests that the election be confirmed so that Thomas can be consecrated.
