Description
John, king of Scotland, makes known that he has made, appointed and ordained that his sworn-men, William, bishop of St Andrews, Matthew, bishop of Dunkeld, John de Soulis and Ingram de Umfraville, knights shall be his special attorneys, procurators and messengers, to undertake negotiations concerning him, Edward, his first-born son and legitimate heir, and the inhabitants of his kingdom giving them free and full power to negotiate on his behalf.
