W[illiam] and R[obert], bishops of St Andrews and Glasgow, Duncan, earl of Fife, Alexander Comyn, earl of Buchan, constable and justiciar of Scotia, John Comyn and James Stewart of Scotland, Guardians of the realm of Scotland by common council, write to Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, or his vice-deputy, commanding him to pay to William de Haya of Loquhariot (Borthwick), or his attorney, the bearer of this letter, 20 marks sterling from his fee, which he was accustomed to receive from the royal chamber from the end of St Martin past and from the end of Pentecost coming.
