Document 2/5/30 (Inchaff. Chrs., no. 118A)

Description
William, bishop of Dunblane, states that when he conferred the vicarage of the church of Strageath (PER), vacant through the death of Master Richard, late vicar of the church, he made a diligent inquisition and also inspected certain public muniments sealed by his predecessors, and by the predecessors of the lord Malise, earl of Strathearn. Therein, William discovered that the monks of Inchaffray had clear right of presentation at the church. Henceforth, he decrees the canons to have the right of presentation at the vicarage of the church of Strageath, and he also states that at their presentation of Lord John, chaplain of Legerwood, the bishop admitted him to the vicarage, and made sure to induct him into corporal possession.
