Document 2/156/7 (Theiner, no. 360)

Description
Boniface VIII writes to the bishops of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Ross, noting that he has appointed A[ndrew], to the church of Caithness, belonging to the Roman church with no intermediary, and he thus commands them, or one of them, to go to the church of Caithness, and consecrate him there, the area being close to war and too dangerous for the elect to come to the curia.
