Description
The same day, and place, in the year and indiction recorded before; there being present the lord John of Banstead, William of Melton, Robert of Cottingham, John of Winchester, and Geoffrey of Stokes, clerks, as witnesses called and summoned, with many others, and the subscribed notary; the burgesses of Elgin in Moray abovesaid, and the community of the city, and one other, named Alan of Moray, came to the faith and will of the king of England, and renounced all alliances, etc., made with the king of the French, and performed fealty to the king of England, etc.
