Document 2/158/17 (Theiner, no. 387)

Description
Pope Clement V writes to William of Gosford, priest, canon of Dunblane, noting that as contained in his petition to the pope, he has obtained the parochial churches of Castlemilk, Ormside (Westmoreland), Gosford (York), and Abbots Leigh (Hants), in the dioceses of Glasgow, Carlisle, York and Lincoln, valued of £80, which he holds without papal dispensation. Clement thus grants a dispensation to retain three of the same, on resigning the fourth, together with a canonry and prebend of Dunblane, and on resigning one of the three churches to accept another.
