John of Guildford, keeper of the castle of Aberdeen, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, by the hands of Sir William of Meldrum, sheriff of Aberdeen, 25 merks of good and legal sterling for part of his wages granted to him by the lord king of England for custody of the castle of Aberdeen.
