Description
Alan of Dumfries, keeper of the seal of the kingdom of Scotland, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Master Robert Heron, associate to the chamberlain through the lord king of England, lord superior of Scotland, forty pounds of sterling for his fee for keeping the aforesaid seal from the Sunday nearest after the feast of Blessed James the apostle until the Wednesday nearest before the feast of Blessed Michael the archangel, viz. for sixty days.
