Description
Henry of Rye, keeper of the castle of Elgin and Forres, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Master Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, [who was made] an associate to the chamberlain by the lord king of England, overlord of Scotland, thirty-nine pounds, twelve shilings and ten pennies of sterling for the remainder of his wages granted to him by the lord king of England for custody of the said castles.
