Nicholas of Seagrave, keeper of the castle of Dumbarton, has received from Sir James, steward of Scotland, sheriff of Dumbarton, by the hand of William Fleming of Dumbarton, £13 16s. 8d. sterling, in respect of the ferme of the said castle for the Martinmas term in the year of grace 1291.
