Description
Matilda of Arnot, in her pure widowhood and legitimate power, gave, granted and by this her present charter established to Simon of Hadden and his heirs, a half virgate of her land of Kepdowrie in the tenement of Cashly (Drymen parish, STL), and her land of Herdas in the tenement of Dolunlach within the earldom of Lennox (STL). The lands are to be held in feu and heritage, and Simon and his heirs are to provide the forinsec service of Matilda and Simon's lord the king, as much pertains to the land, and they are to render one penny at Pentecost for all other secular service, custom, exaction and demand. Mill rights and restrictions are specified, and Matilda promises warrandice.
