Henry de Boiville, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotand, and Sir Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, [who was made] an associate to the said Sir Alexander, the chamberlain, by the lord king of England, twenty-eight pounds of sterling as part of his and his associates’ wages for the custody of the castles of Dumfries, Wigtown, and Kirkcudbright.
