His liege Margaret, countess of Lennox, writes to Sir Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland and duke of Aquitaine, noting that Sir John Comyn has sent part of his host across the Forth into Lennox to destroy and ruin those persons who have come into the king’s peace, whereupon she prays the king that he would send his counsel with succours for their deliverance and for the governance and support of those who have come to his peace.
