Description
The king writes to R[obert], bishop of Glasgow, signifying that he has given his royal assent to the late election of ‘Friar’ Thomas of Durham, monk of Kelso, to be abbot, taken his fealty, and restored the temporalities, of his special favour. He asks the bishop, if required by the elect, to give his benediction.
