Description
William of Moray, pantler (panetar) of Scotland, out of special love for the abbot and convent of Newbattle, has given, granted and by this his present script established to Newbattle Abbey two marks’ annual rent with its pertinents which he receives annually from the saltworks of the Carse of Stirling (STL) on the two yearly terminals, namely, Pentecost and Martinmas, having and holding in free and perpetual alms.
