Description
Robert Hastang’, sheriff of Roxburgh, writes to Sir John de Langton, chancellor of England. As Alan of Whelton, his valet, is going to England for a day of pleasure with Sir William de Kungenho, and will return speedily to the writer, he begs protection for him, should the one he already has not be available.
