Description
The king thanks David, earl of Atholl, David of Brechin, David of Graham, Reginald le Cheyne, and seven other Scottishmen for their faithful service to his father and himself. The king thanks John Comyn, earl of Buchan for his good service in the district committed to him [north of the Forth], and requests him to remain there till the Feasts of St Peter ad vincula. Similar to John de Mowbray, Alexander of Abernethy, Edmund of Hastings, John son of Marmaduke, Duncan of Frendraught, Gilbert Pecche. Similar to William, earl of Ross, lieutenant of the guardian, to remain till midsummer next. And to Ingram de Umfraville, John de St John, Richard Siward, Robert de Mauley, Ebulo de Montibus, Peter de Lubaud, Henry Beaufitz [south of the Forth].
