- Description
- Walter, Steward of Scotland, has given, granted, and by this his present charter established to Gilbert of Knock son of the late Uchtred of Knock for his homage and service all his land called Selvieland (RNF) in his barony of Renfrew with its just pertinents and bounds, which Adam late son and heir of Selvieland resigned by rod and staff with the charters of his ancestors the same land in his full court at Renfrew, and in perpetuity quitclaimed, Gilbert and the heirs of his lawful spouse Christine having and holding it in feu and heritage, by stated bounds, for the service of one half of an archer in the common army of the lord king of Scotland, and made in his baronial court of Renfrew for all service, custom, exaction or secular demand.
