Description
A[lan], bishop of Caithness, chancellor of Scotland, and Walter of Agmondesham, clerk of the lord king of England, have received and have in full by the hand of their clerk, Sir Adam of Arbroath, by Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, £40 for eight weeks, counting from Tuesday after the feast of Blessed Barnaby the Apostle, by reason of their office, as the chamberlain has letters of the king commanding this.
