Roger le Savage clerk, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, by the hand of Sir William de Balliol, 50s. in part payment of his expenses assigned to him by the king of England for the time which he remained in the office of the chamber of the king, from Thursday after the feast of St Barnaby the apostle up to Wednesday in the Feast of the Assumption of Blessed Mary, 1291.
