Description
William de Braytoft, knight, keeper of the castles of Inverness and Dingwall, has received from Sir Alan Durward, in place of Sir William Soulis, sheriff of Inverness, 109 marks from the ferme of the burgh of Inverness or the sheriffdom, from 24 August up to the feast of the Purification of Blessed Mary following, for his stipend, as contained in letters of the chamberlain of Scotland directed to the said sheriff.
