Description
The king and overlord of Scotland writes to A[lan], bishop of Caithness, chancellor of Scotland, commanding that by letters under the seal of Scotland which he gave to his sworn-man, Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, that he pay to his sworn-man, John Comyn, earl of Buchan, his fee which Sir A[lexander], late king of Scots, paid him while he lived, together with the arrears.
