Document 1/27/0 (Stevenson, Docs., ii, no. 430)
- Description
- The king writes to his sworn-man, William de Mortimer, noting that recently during his war in Scotland, he had instructed his sworn-man, Simon of Lindsey, stating verbally that he himself was seised in the manor of Tulliebole, that no one shall come to the king or another in his name to petition for that manor, until he shall understand. He makes William aware by the present letter that the said Simon has entered the manor in the stated manner, and holds it thus.
