Description
The king writes to his sworn-man, John de Warenne, earl of Surrey, his guardian of the realm and land of Scotland, noting that the pope has placed Master Thomas de Dono Dei [Dundee], canon of the church of Ross in the same bishopric as pastor, just as directed by his letters; the king has taken the fealty of Thomas himself and restored the temporalities to him. He commands the earl to liberate the said temporalities to him without delay. The knights, free men and all others holding of the said bishopric are also command to answer to the said Thomas.
