- Description
- For John of Banstead, concerning the provostry of St Mary's on the Rock, St Andrews. The king makes known that he has given and granted to his clerk, John of Banstead, the provostry of his free chapel of St Andrews, in Scotia, which Master William Comyn recently had, in the cathedral church of St Andrews, vacant and belonging to the king, by reason of the vacancy of the bishopric now in the king’s hand.
And the knights, freemen and all other tenants of the said provostry are commanded to answer to him in everything.
And the chapter of the said provostry is commanded to be obedient to him.
